For this effect, you will need Vegas 7 or newer and the VST version of IL Vocodex. Using the trial version of IL Vocodex is not necessary because it has limitations.

Step 1: Getting Started

Open Vegas Pro and start importing your favourite source or clip by dragging it onto the timeline. Setting the resolution of your project to 1080p through the settings without the deinterlacing filter is recommended.

Step 2: Applying the Audio Effect

Click the "Audio Event FX" button to open up the plugin manager, select the IL Vocodex plugin and add it to the audio track. Remember to set the preset to "Clearer". Adjust the knob of the mixer to set the wet level to 8.00. Maximise the band width by twisting the knob all the way to the right to 400%. Lastly, edit the keyset that is provided below:

Step 3: Applying the Video Effect

Click on the "Video Event FX" button and apply the Gradient Map effect, and replicate the preset shown by the images below:

Step 4: Preview, Render, and Upload

Once you've finished all steps, preview your video and render it in any format you want. After you're done, you can now upload it to YouTube, Dailymotion, Vimeo, Odysee, Rumble, e.g.
